The foamer without a milk container is a mini mixer with a long handle and a nozzle in the form of an annular spiral spring, which is rotated by a motor. Manual foamers are wireless devices powered by batteries. Their obvious advantages are compactness, mobility and affordable price. The disadvantage is that they do not have a heating function. To get a hot foam for cappuccino, it is necessary to preheat the milk on the stove or in a microwave oven to a temperature of 65-70oC.

A foamer with a milk container is a more complex device, but also more convenient to use. Structurally, the device resembles an electric kettle on a stand that is connected to the mains. Inside the case there is a container with a non–stick coating, under it there is a heating element and an electric motor. At the bottom of the container there is a stirrer with a magnetic or electromechanical drive.
